He definitely wasn't supposed to get that email...

Subject: My Boss.

Have I already told you that I hate my boss today?

Sexy as hell or not, this pompous, arrogant, ASSHOLE asked me to pick up his dry cleaning the second I walked through the door. Then he told me that I needed to take his Jaguar to a car wash that was ten miles outside of the city, but only after I needed to stand in a never-ending line to buy some type of limited, hundred-dollar watch.

I honestly can't wait to see the look on his face two months from now when I tell him that I'm quitting his company and that he can kiss my ass. KISS. MY. ASS.

All those former fantasies about him kissing me with his "mouth of perfection" or bending me over my desk and filling me with his cock are long over. OVER.

Your bestie,
Mya

PS--Please tell me your day is going better than mine...

No, you haven't already told me that you hate your boss today, but seeing as though you've sent me this email directly, I know now...

Yes, I did ask you to pick up my dry cleaning the second you arrived to work to day. (Where is it?) And I did tell you to take my Jaguar to the car wash and pick up my thousand-dollar watch. (Thank you for taking five hours to do something that could be accomplished in two.)

You don't have to wait two months from now to see the look on my face when you tell me you're quitting. I'm standing outside your office at this very moment. ( Open the door. )

No comment on your "fantasies," although I highly doubt they're "long over."

Your boss,
Michael

PS--Yes. My day is definitely going far better than yours...

A steamy, office-romance novella from New York Times bestselling author, Whitney G.
Review:
Michael Leighton is a CEO of a successful publishing company and he wants to make his company public. There is just one problem, he can't keep it in his pants, Michael is a playboy and he flaunts it, he dates different women and sometimes multiple women in a week, his face is always plastered all over magazines. His advisor, Brad, wants him to stop his playboy lifestyle for a year at least until the company goes public because any bad press can hinder investments.

Mya is Michael's new executive assistant, and she's by far the only one who's been able to stay a year at Leighton Publishing. One thing is for certain to Mya is that she hates her boss, like really really hate her, she vents all of her frustrations about her boss to her friend Amy but as much as she hates her boss she also can't help but like him because he's hot. One day, a venting email that was supposed to be sent to Amy got accidentally sent to her boss. This email contains ranting and her saying how she wants to have sex with her boss.

What Mya doesn't know is that the reason why Michael treats her so badly is because he kind of liked her as well and wants her as well but he can't act on his desire because he promised to be good and also because he doesn't want to jeopardize the professional relationship between him and Mya since she's the best executive assistant he has by far. So, when an email saying that Mya actually hates him but also want him too just sparked his desire to want her more.
It was never personal, and never because she was awful. She was actually the smartest woman I’d ever met, the best executive assistant I’d ever hired, but her unfortunate flaw was being sexy as fuck. Beyond sexy as fuck.
"For the record, per your email with the subject heading, ‘I Wonder If He Eats Pussy’...” He looked me up and down. “I do eat pussy, and if I ever was going to eat your pussy...If that thought had ever been filthy enough to cross my mind and certain circumstances between us were different, you wouldn’t be able to walk for days after I was done with you...”
Naughty Boss is a steamy office romance novella by an author whose book made my favorites last year, Sincerely, Carter. So when I found out she released a new book I jumped on it and since it was so short I read it right away. I liked this book but didn't love it, probably because this was a novella so the readers weren't able to get to know the characters more and also because there wasn't that much of a conflict in this book. So, this book was written in a dual perspective way. We get the POV of Michael and Mya, there aren't any confusion about the voices of these characters because readers can differentiate them quite easily so props to the author, I think this is one of her strong suit because her previous book that I've read used this kind of writing style.

In terms of characters, as I've said before, we didn't get to know that much about the characters but that's ok because it is a novella. Not a lot of characters in this book either. I would recommend this book to people who want a quick romance read to get through a slump because this was a really fun read and also would recommend to people who wound like to try Whitney G.'s books but don't know where to start, this could be your gateway.

That's all for now!
